What is a Business Plan Competition?
A Business Plan Competition is a forum that provides an opportunity for young and start-up entrepreneurs develop business ideas, test their business plans and compete for cash prizes to enable them start up their own business.

The Uganda Business Plan Competition is one of PSFU initiatives– along with its partners–to find and fund promising entrepreneurs in Uganda.

The BPC is the first event of its kind in Uganda to provide funding and technical support to promising Ugandan entrepreneurs through a competitive process.

Objectives of the BPC
• To promote, stimulate and call attention to entrepreneurship development in Uganda by encouraging start-up and on going businesses to prepare viable business plans and projects that have potential to attract external financing.
• To build capacity of the entrepreneurs to manage their businesses efficiently through training and mentorship
• shine the spotlight on successful new and existing enterprises in Uganda, and make an example to all of the success and rewards of a career in starting and managing a growing business.
• To develop a spirit of networking and exchange of knowledge and skills amongst the entrepreneurs.
• To work with the commercial banks in Uganda to finance promising entrepreneurs and their business ideas.
